Founded in 1972, Lancaster Radiology Associates, Ltd. (LRA) has grown to 27 radiologists providing diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services to Lancaster General Hospital (LGH), Lancaster General Health Campus, Lancaster General Women and & Babies Hospital, Kissel Hill Health Center, Willow Lakes Health Center, MRI Group and Lancaster P.E.T. LRA currently provides over 500,000 professional diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures per year, making it one of the largest radiology practices in Pennsylvania. All of our radiologists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology and more than two-thirds have advanced fellowship training. 

Because of our strong relationship with LGH, LRA has access to the latest technological advances in radiology equipment. This includes 5 multi-slice CT machines including a 64-slice CT machine that provides advanced cardiac imaging. The practice has advanced biplane digital angiography suites and numerous state-of-the-art ultrasound units. Our mammography section is enhanced by state-of-the-art mammography screening equipment, core biopsy units and digital computer aided film review. 

Our affiliated company, MRI Group, provides the highest quality magnetic resonance imaging services in Central Pennsylvania. Our 5 convenient locations have appointment availability 24 hours a day. Positron Emission Tomography (or P.E.T. scanning) has become an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases including cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. LRA provides these services through our affiliate company Lancaster P.E.T. Partnership, LLP that is conveniently located at the LGH Health Campus. 

In addition to our excellent clinical staff, LRA recognizes the importance of providing accurate and efficient billing of patient procedures. The mission of our business office is to provide accurate and timely processing of your insurance claims. Equipped with the most advanced electronic billing capabilities, we bill your claim directly to insurance carriers including Medicare, Medicaid, Highmark Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, HealthAmerica and most other insurers.
